Mrs. Sailaja Ramayanam

    Sailaja Ramayanam hails from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. She started learning music from the age of 10 under the able guidance of her guru Sri Kandalai Rangachari garu. She continued to learn from her guru until she graduated from Vanitha Mahavidyalaya Hyderabad. During this time she completed diploma in Carnatic music from Sri Potti Sriramulu University. She went on to pursue post graduation in Carnatic Music from the same university.

She was a regular at All India Radio, Hyderabad in yuva vani segment and have given several performances. She participated in many competitions held by TTD and has represented telangana region at state level. She travelled across the state including Vijayawada, Nellore, Ellore and Warangal performing at cultural events at various colleges.

Sailaja started teaching Carnatic music since year 2000. She moved to Minneapolis, US in 2004 and continued her teaching there. She later moved to Chicago and had taught more than 30 students there. Her students participated in various cultural events and competitions held in Aurora temple and Lemont temple in Chicago and has won laurels.
